Chaos Chronicles 431: Martha Stewart, Artisan Pizza & What I’ve been doing

by Lian on October 4, 2011

Chaos Crew..

After a short hiatus, the Chaos Chronicles Podcast is back. I appreciated the concerned emails and Facebook post about my whereabouts the last two weeks. It’s good to know someone cares! Here are a few possibilities of what I might have been doing while not podcasting:

  • Occupying Wall Street to demand the return of my ATM fees from 1993 to present.
  • Waiting for a phone call from Sweden about my Nobel Prize in Literature.
  • Refreshing my college Italian to fully absorb the Amanda Knox reversal of fortune.
  • Standing on line at the Apple Store for the new iPhone 4S despite the fact that I barely understand how to run my new iPhone 3.
  • Providing counsel to Blake Lively after her break-up with Leo.
  • Working with Charles Barkley to negotiate last-minute deal with NBA.
  • Composing my song for Monday Night Football called, “Get a grip. It’s a game with men in tight pants chasing a ball.”
  • Seeking solace in Chubby Hubby Ice Cream after four network passes on Helen of Pasadena: The TV Show.
  • Spreading nasty rumors about newly-announced MacArthur Genii via Twitter.
  • Setting up 30-City Tour for Sheila and Lian Comedy Act after smashing success at charity event.
  • DVRing the many TV shows that Whitney Cummings is either writing, producing, creating or starring in.
  • Rehabbing my hammie after too-enthusiastic fitness instructor insisted on high-paced burpies in first five minutes of class.
  • Taking a couple of weeks off because I didn’t take any weeks off in August.

Ding, ding, ding! The last answer is actually correct. Several of the previous answers are possibly true as well.  But, rest assured, I’m back and ready to talk.

Playboy Club was a ‘go’….and it lasted, what, 2 horribly bad episodes. Who thought that was a good attempt at a Mad Men-esque show? No worry, Helen will pop up sooner than later as a tv show. Sandra Bullock as Helen, why not.

Rule for sisters – those who snore, room together. Those who like a/c on, drive together. If you want your own room, book it yourself. If you have a special diet need for your family member or yourself, bring your dish to the get together.

Needed the gift of this show on my commute yesterday. Laughing about the excuses and the pursuit of the perfect cuff, just what I needed. Enjoy the weekend!~

What I like about you is that you are always up for the challenge, no matter what life throws at you … even when life doesn’t give you what you expected, you keep on going – I admire that! Onward and upward!

I haven’t listened to the entire podcast yet but shuckens I thought for sure you were away to schedule a tour for you and Sheila and there was a stop in Portland.

If anyone deserved a break you certainly did.

Like I used to tell my sister when a boyfriend broke up with her, “you are to good for him.” And that is how I feel about Helen. Helen is to good for TV. Who would want to associate with networks to dumb to know what a great show that would be?

I understand your feeling about the Artisan but darn it you came down against the word the after I was pulled out of the line at the checkstand at Safeways and informed I was an “elite customer” and given a coupon for a free loaf of Artisan French Bread so I’m kind of liking the word right now.

May all the Dolans have a safe trip to and from the wedding and may the bride and groom have not only an outstanding wedding but an outstanding marriage filled with love, joy, and happiness.

Helen would have made a wonderful TV movie (or movie movie, for that matter!) So glad to have a new podcast. All good wishes for the wedding, the Dolans, and New Orleans!

Loved all the options but the last one is the best. I’m glad to hear the decision was yours (and life didn’t cause the break).

Sorry to hear about Helen’s TV passing… hopefully Chaos is still alive!

I’m traveling tomorrow, thank you for the gift of a new show. :)
