Step aside, Santa! All Hail, Queen Vanessa! Time to move on, people, at least here in Pasadena where things really pick up as we head towards New Year’s Day. Onto the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game. Welcome Wisconsin, Stanford and all you Bandies from all over.

Oh, that is SUCH a nice gesture on your behalf. That float is always so emotional to see, with the ‘floragraphs’ of the organ donors and then the recipients from all over the country on the float. Very, very meaningful float, one that chokes me up every year.

Hi Lian,
I thought you would appreciate knowing that on the Donate Life float, there is a rose in memory of the son of a friend of mine. The boy died tragically three years ago at the age of ten. When I saw their post about the float on facebook, I somehow felt connected to it, through your interest in the Rose Parade, something I never really knew about before listening to the Chaos Chronicles.
Hope you’re doing ok.
