Glad to have you back! Now I can listen to you while I’m sewing projects for my next book. Yes, I am in the same boat now that you were pre-manuscript deadline…not leaving the house, looking schlumpy, etc. Only difference: in addition to the bad outfit I am covered in bits of thread. Until end of July. Oh boy.

I really enjoyed following your son’s college application process – thanks for sharing the highs and lows. Been there twice (with lots of nagging) and I’m buckling up for the last time with my junior son.
Listening to your anticipation of your son leaving home reminded me how I imagined a quiet home when she left and how very different it would feel for our family. After a senior year busy with applications and then the summer getting ready for her dorm, etc., it was such a RELIEF when she finally left! The quiet and calm was a reward for the whirlwind year. You will probably settle in quickly to the new dynamics with your younger son and husband.
