Lian, like all others, I am very saddened and just stunned about the passing of William J. I, too, always enjoyed his posts and his unique perspective. He was a wonderful son to his aging mother, and no doubt a great brother, uncle, etc. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. The blog here and at SS will feel just a bit emptier in the weeks and months to come. I am with Kathy in saying that he had commented at times on my posts, always a cheerleader and a booster of spirits. He was really the consumate Sattelite Mister. So sad. Thanks for letting us know. xo, Chris

Lian, I am truly sad to hear that William J has passed away. Stunned, in fact. He never knew I counted on him being there.

His comments were insightful and compassionate; and they showed that he really loved and cared for The Dolan Sisters.

One time in particular he went out of his way to help me by offering his in- depth expertise right in the comments section regarding a question I posed. He also showed abundant generosity of spirit by making supportive comments when I felt I had made a blog comment faux pas. He was always happy to cheer on Crew and Sisterhood members. You felt like you had someone rooting for you.

If all that you and your family have been through this past year didn’t do it for me, Bill’s passing may finally get it through my head that life is a mystery, life is fragile. And, to paraphrase a reminder from you, Lian: you never know what people are going through – let’s just open our hearts to more people – like Bill did.
